Henry Demers is the Founder/President of Harmony Home Ministry and is an ordained minister. He and his wife Connie-Ann have been married for thirty-one years- serving God the whole time. Henry has a BA in Education and a THB in Administration from the college where he met Connie. His parents owned and operated nursing homes which instilled in him, as well as his siblings, the importance of caring for others.
For sixteen years Henry and his family have fostered a handicap, adult gentleman who lives in their home. For fourteen (and counting) years, Connie has worked as a driver, bringing meals to and building relationships with the elderly and shut-in.
Henry has over twenty-five years of experience in social work. His last employment in the field was as a mental health clinician. This was where he first began to feel called to love and serve the growing homeless population. He left his clinical work to run a program for the homeless under another local ministry. He did that for two years.
Henry and Connie's youngest daughter Gloriana uses her passions of writing and photography to glorify God. Their oldest daughter Gracie is married to Kenny-together they serve as worship leaders in their community. Two years ago, they gave Henry and Connie their first grandchild.
The specially-named Christmas Event generally takes place at the beginning of December. A large gathering of people attend a Christmas service where there is joyous Christmas worship and an on-theme message. Afterward, lunch is provided. Next, guests have the opportunity to go shopping for various new Christmas items such as: sweatshirts, toiletries, gift cards, hats, sox, gloves, coats and many many other items. All guests will be assisted by volunteers from over fifty churches/ministries from where items were donated.
Every fifth Saturday, Harmony Home hosted a community event. In the past, they have hosted BBQs with live music, banquets, wedding receptions, trips to the movie theater, etc. Both physical and spiritual needs are met at each event.

Harmony Home Ministry focuses on helping people advance their lives in so many different ways. Some of those ways include giving them a bike so they have transportation to a job, helping them pay first weeks rent and deposit in a room, and sending them across the country to rehab.
Last year alone, Harmony Home sent about eighty people to rehab.
